Creating the world's first-ever suicide prevention course taught entirely over Instagram

Utah’s Department of Health and Human Services launched the world’s first suicide prevention training taught entirely on Instagram, adapting national curriculum into 10 short lessons led by specialists. Participants earned personalized, shareable certificates, creating social proof. The campaign aimed to train 10,000 people in September but surpassed that within 72 hours, gaining attention in 16 states. Since then, multiple states, the National Guard, the Trevor Project, and the VA have sought to adopt the Playbook model.
